1Determine Eligibility

Before purchasing a Nissan Security+Plus plan, confirm that your vehicle qualifies.

“New” Plan Eligibility

  • Vehicle is still under Nissan’s original 36‑month / 36,000‑mile warranty.
  • Coverage begins from the original warranty start date and at zero miles.
  • Vehicles that qualify for “New” generally also qualify for “Used” — you can choose either.

“Used” Plan Eligibility

  • Vehicle is outside its original 36‑month / 36,000‑mile warranty.
  • Coverage begins on the purchase date; mileage is added to your current odometer reading.
  • Vehicle is generally current model year and prior nine (9) model years.
  • Once outside the Nissan Powertrain Warranty, a Vehicle Inspection Report (VIR) is typically required. Download the form: Security+Plus Inspection.
  • Check your factory warranty status: Nissan Warranty Check.

Title Requirement

  • Your vehicle must have a clean title history. Salvage, branded, or rebuilt titles do not qualify for Nissan Security+Plus coverage.

The terms “New” and “Used” refer to your vehicle’s current warranty status, not whether you purchased your vehicle new or pre‑owned.

  • “New” Plans — available only while still within the 36mo/36k factory warranty; begin at 0 miles from the original in‑service date.
  • “Used” Plans — for vehicles outside factory warranty; begin on the purchase date and add to your current odometer.

Note: Some vehicles qualify for both plan types, depending on warranty status at purchase.

  • 10% minimum down payment at checkout.
  • Exact terms (6, 12, 18, 24 months) are shown for each eligible plan at checkout based on plan length and your vehicle’s original in‑service date.

  • Submit your order.
  • Once verified, your contract will be emailed for e‑signature.

6Sign & Activate Your Contract
  • After verification, you’ll receive an email with your contract for e‑signature.
  • Once signed, Nissan links the coverage to your VIN.
  • All Nissan dealerships nationwide will be able to view your Security+Plus coverage.
