What is Nissan Security+Plus?
Security+Plus is Nissan’s official extended service contract program. It adds coverage after (or alongside) the factory warranty for specified components and services, including roadside assistance, rental reimbursement, and trip interruption benefits. Contracts are administered by Nissan Extended Services North America (NESNA).

Can I buy online?
Yes. All listed Security+Plus plans are available to purchase online in all 50 U.S. states.
Eligibility & Plan Types
Eligibility at a glance: Current model year + prior nine (9) model years (e.g., 2016+ in 2025; 2017+ in 2026). Max mileage at time of purchase 100,000. A Vehicle Inspection Report (VIR) is typically required once outside the Nissan Powertrain Warranty (and not required while still within it). Ineligible examples include salvage/rebuilt titles, true mileage unknown (TMU), factory warranties voided, frame or flood damage, vehicles outside time/mileage parameters, and most commercial uses (except Nissan Commercial Vehicles). Ride‑share (Uber/Lyft) use is not considered commercial for eligibility.
What’s the difference between “New” and “Used” plans?
“New” plans are available only while the vehicle is still within Nissan’s original 36‑month / 36,000‑mile basic warranty. These plans begin from the vehicle’s original in‑service date and at 0 miles.
“Used” plans are for vehicles no longer under the basic factory warranty. These begin on the purchase date of the plan, and mileage is added on top of your current odometer reading.
Note: Whether you bought your car new or pre‑owned doesn’t matter—only your current warranty status.

Nissan Certified Pre‑Owned (CPO) Coverage
What special coverage is available for Certified Pre‑Owned Nissans?
Nissan Certified Pre‑Owned vehicles may qualify for unique Certified Pre‑Owned Wrap coverage. These plans extend protection beyond the Certified Limited Warranty and offer three term options:
- 7 years / 100,000 miles
- 7 years / Unlimited miles
- 8 years / 120,000 miles
All CPO Wrap plans feature a $0 deductible and qualify for 0% installment payments. Coverage length works the same way as the Nissan Certified Limited Warranty: it begins on the manufacturer’s original in‑service date, with mileage starting at zero, regardless of the vehicle’s age or mileage at certification.
Important: These plans are VIN‑specific, time‑sensitive, and must be purchased within 90 days of the vehicle’s certification. Because eligibility depends on verification of certification dates, CPO Wrap plans are not listed online.

What are the differences between Gold Preferred, Silver Preferred, and Powertrain Preferred?
These tiers differ mainly in the breadth of covered components. Gold Preferred is the most comprehensive (and the most popular nationwide), especially for advanced electronics. Compare coverage side‑by‑side here: Component Coverage Chart.
Is a specific item (e.g., infotainment, ADAS sensor, turbo, hybrid components) included in my plan?

Interest‑free monthly payments are available on most plans. Exact term options (6, 12, 18, or 24 months) are displayed for each eligible plan at checkout and are based on your plan length and the vehicle’s original in‑service date. Minimum down payment is 10%; the remaining balance is split into equal monthly payments via automatic debit. Draft date is assigned based on your order date. You can manage payments online at myspp.com.

How do I buy?

Can I transfer my contract if I sell the vehicle?
Yes. Security+Plus contracts are transferable to a new private owner (a small transfer fee may apply; varies by state). The transfer form and instructions are in Sections 12 and 13 of the sample contract and are mailed to Nissan for processing.

How do I know if a repair is covered under my plan?
